Now, the U.N. wants in on the global warming crisis with a tax on airline emissions.
For now, assume it is all true. Global Warming is a man-made catastrophe in the making of immense proportions and imminent danger. Being man-made, it must be solved by man. And since it will affect the entire world population, then all must pay as much as they are able. (Did I read this in a book somewhere?) I digress.
One logical solution being offered is to cut down on carbon emissions. In order to cut down on carbon emissions, taxes are being proposed on every single man, woman and child, plus businesses, industries, vehicles, transportation… did I miss anything? The rationale is that the higher the cost of something, the less one will employ it and therefore, carbon emissions will be reduced and the world will be saved! It just sounds like the plot of a bad science fiction novel. But once again, I digress.
I have just one question. Again, assuming that this is all true, the question is: who is collecting these taxes? Think about it, fellow global warmer and fellow taxpayer. This Global Warming Crisis is responsible for taxes being raised (and fees administered) at the city, state and federal levels. Now, the World Bank wants a part of the action, excuse me, I mean the World Bank wants to sell emissions permits (euphemism for tax).
Where is all this tax money going? Who is collecting all of that tax money and what is it being used for?
I see a lot of reports about Global Warming, and not as many reports about the flaws in the science, but I have never a seen a report of where all that money is going. Are there any reporters out there looking for a story? Whatever happened to Bob Woodward and what’s-his-name?
